WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Let’s drive into the incredible world of BATIK, a textile design technique that involves applying wax to fabric to create intricate patterns. This three-day workshop is design for adults and offers in-depth training in the ART OF BATIK, from wax application to dyeing and final fabric setting. First two days will be a brief introduction of BATIK and after will drive into the wax application technique to create the patterns of our own choice, and on the final day will be moving towards dyeing process with the sources of raw material collection.

EXPECT INSTRUCTION: Let’s learn from cultivated BATIK artists who will guide you through each steps of the technique.
ALL MATERIAL PROVIDED: Our organisation will supply all the necessary materials, including fabric, wax, dyes, and required tools.
HAND-ON EXPERIENCE: Participants will create their own BATIK designs on the fabric, by applying wax and dye it into beautiful patterns.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Day 1: Make you familiar towards the beauty of BATIK textile art, material and techniques.
Day 2: Drive your hand into creating pattern with wax application for dyeing and let it dry naturally.
Day 3: Removing wax, final dye setting, and discuss about care and preservation of BATIK FABRIC.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
• Master the traditional techniques of BATIK, including wax resist dyeing.
• Develop an understanding of pattern to create and colour and layering in fabric design.
• Take home your unique piece of handcrafted BATIK fabric.
