Saikat Mondal

Saikat Mondal, the Director of COG India Art Foundation, is a dedicated art lover and landscape painter with a rich background in engineering and business management. A graduate of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, with an engineering degree and an MBA from IIM Calcutta, Saikat combines his technical expertise and artistic passion to promote Indian art and artists. His vision for COG India is to create a nurturing platform that celebrates and elevates the rich tapestry of Indian art, making it accessible to a diverse audience. With his leadership, COG India seeks to empower artists and integrate art into the cultural fabric of society.

About Us

Ankita Roy

Ankita Roy, Co-founder of COG India Art Foundation and head of Salankaraa Dance Studio, is a professional Kathak dancer and instructor with a profound passion for the performing arts. Holding a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, Ankita blends her literary background with her expertise in dance to enrich the artistic expressions taught at the studio. Under her guidance, Salankaraa Dance Studio not only focuses on Kathak but also explores other dance forms like Rabindra Nritya and Odissi, aiming to broaden the scope of traditional dance education and performance. Ankita is committed to fostering a love for dance and the arts among students of all ages, encouraging them to pursue their passions with dedication and creativity.

We proudly operate the Chhobi-o-Ghor Art Gallery, which spans 1200 sqft of professionally designed space. This gallery serves as a launchpad for both emerging and established visual artists to exhibit their work, providing them with a prominent platform to gain visibility and engage with a broader audience. Located at 16, Lake Temple Road, Southern Avenue, Kolkata, the gallery is not only a space for exhibitions but also a center for artistic exchange and collaboration. We host a variety of events including workshops, art talks, and educational programs, aiming to stimulate dialogue, inspire creativity, and foster a deeper appreciation of the arts within the community.
