Indian Artist story of Chintu Dutta who works as a gardener in daytime and an artist at night. A loving father and a responsible husband.
Today I will tell you a story of a gardener. Yes, if you visit this private school in a Kolkata suburbs in daytime, you will see Chintu Dutta is working in the school’s garden.
When the day comes to an end, Chintu returns to his single bedroom family where he living with his wife and his loving daughter Jiya. And then he begins his work. Chintu becomes the creator as night progress. He creates the God itself.
When Chintu brought his work to the gallery, and unveiled it, we became speechless. No one present there has not seen something like that. It was an unbelievable piece of art. First you will see it at distance, and then you move closer. The more you move closer, you will see how he made this with breathtaking details. There was no end to it.
Chintu waited there for three days for a buyer of his creation. One by one, everyone left. Only the artist and his work was left. Chintu packed his work carefully and told us he has to catch up the last train. He has to return to his 15×15 feet room. Tomorrow he will become the gardener.
We we all support art, the story could have been a different one.

An artist cannot fail, it is a success to simply be one. This single sentence sums up for me what it is to be an artist, a individual who can immerse themselves is a accupation that they love, doing.
Inspiring words.
Being an alumna of the same school I have had the first hand experience of witnessing Chintu Uncle’s art. When I was in 7th grade we had a project to create objects from soil. We tried our hands at it but failed miserably. It was recess and we were talking about this with Chintu Uncle while he was gardening. Out of a sudden he pulled out some soil and made a cute little turtle out of it. Everyone surrounded him while he was making it and we just stood there in awe of his talent.
Anywhere you go in our school, you’ll find something or the other that has been made by Uncle. The school is like an exhibition of Chintu uncle.
I wish his art gets noticed and he succeeds as an artist.
