Join us for this two-day workshop at Chhobi O Ghor Art Gallery, where you will learn the intricate techniques of Bandhani on fabrics. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in textile arts, from beginners to those with more experience seeking to refine their skills.
Day 1:
•Introduction Seminar: Learn about the history and cultural significance of Bandhani, and understand the different patterns and dyeing techniques.
•Practice Session: Start your hands-on experience by preparing your handkerchief with basic tie and dye patterns.
Day 2:
•Advanced Techniques: Apply more complex designs on a quarter meter cloth, exploring various binding techniques to create beautiful, vibrant patterns.
•Finishing Touches: Learn how to set the dye and care for your dyed fabrics to ensure long-lasting colors.
What We Provide:
•Materials: All necessary materials, including a handkerchief and a quarter meter of fabric for each participant.
•Expert Guidance: Led by a skilled artisan with an MFA from Viswa Bharati’s Kalabhavana, renowned for its focus on traditional arts.
•Certificates: Certificates of completion will be provided to all participants.
