Born in 1993 in Barama, Assam, Kartik Lahkar is a multifaceted artist and freelance photographer who melds his training in fine arts with his passion for photography. Having completed his MFA in painting from Tripura University in 2020, Kartik uses his camera as an extension of his painterly vision, capturing images that reflect a rich, artistic sensibility. His work has been recognized at various exhibitions, including the Student Biennale and Raja Ravi Verma Gallery of Art. Kartik’s artistic contributions have been acknowledged with prestigious awards, including a gold award from the Keshav Art Foundation and a second prize from the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad.
