I am Dipanjan Mishra, a pre-doctoral independent researcher deeply engaged with the landscapes and communities of the Indian Sundarbans. My work spans Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), community development, climate resilience, and early weather monitoring. My passion for photography was born from these grassroots engagements—capturing moments while working with local communities. What began in the remote villages of the Sundarbans extended to the tea gardens of North Bengal, Rajasthan, and the Bangladesh Sundarbans. Photography, for me, is a reflection of life and resilience — a visual journey through the ecology, culture, and daily rhythms of the people I meet. Whether documenting the lives of Dhulian City dwellers or the quiet drama of the wild, I frame each shot as a story of coexistence. My camera is not just a tool — it is an extension of my fieldwork, inspired by the communities that continue to spark my curiosity and compassion.
